Mexico and Canada are fairly easy to get into. The United States is a bit more difficult because of the "terrorist" threats made to our government. As a United States citizen, I will soon be required a passport to return to my birth country! This was never in place before and it is going to cost my family a lot of money. We live near Canada so the chances of us needing to go there are great.

Just do it freakin legally.

Believe it or not, Canadian Customs are much harder, at least in my experience.

For one Aspirin and Mace are HUGE deals to Canadians, as are musical instruments. Americans really don't care about any of the three. We look for Drugs, Illegals, and Terrorists.

I had a Canadian Boarder agent tell me she could care less about Marijuana and more about wood moths in my camping gear!

The U.S. Guards are a lot more impersonal.

But yeah the bus or walking are the least searched, guessing.

I know you can walk at the International Falls/Fort Francis Boarder Crossing.

SweetPea
Cross over in the woods of north dakota, nobody lives in that state and there are no fences.

Umm... Well You Shoulld Probally Fly To The United States Thats The Safest Way. I Live There So I Should Know Good Luck

If you cross by land or sea, you don't need a passport.
If you travel by air, you need a passport.

If you travel by bus as opposed to car, well you aren't likely to have your vehicle searched because it isn't your vehicle now is it?

Hello Elle,if you cross over in a bus it is much easier, but takes a little longer depending on how many people are on the bus.You don't need a passport to cross over on a bus, just make sure you have IDs so you can get back without a problem!
