All of the countries in the Caribbean have VERY restrictive immigration policies, to keep the few jobs that are available, for their OWN citizens.

UNLESS you have a M.D behind your name, or you are a very highly skilled technician, you are out of luck.

My wife was born in The Bahamas, and some of her family still lives there, and they tell us that the economy there is falling fast, and just before the New Year, the biggest resort in the country, Atlantis, laid off over 800 staff people.

Not a chance for you, and forget the cruise ships, you wouldn't last a week working 16 hours a day, for 5 bucks an hour. There is a very good reason why all the waiters and bartenders are Indian or Mexicans. They will work cheap.

If you are working towards a degree or have a degree, you could consider teaching English abroad after completing a TESL course.

If you are under 25 or 30 (forget which), Austrailia has a visa for working and traveling. Mainly restaurant work, farm help.

Otherwise you will have to settle for the west coast. It is the warmest option you have.

.
How about Mauritius? They'll let you emigrate there as a citizen of a Commonwealth country without asking any questions. Then you can work as a translator from French (the people's language) to English (the official language).

come on, whats not to like about snow and -40 in winter,, put hair on your chest!! lol.
try Vancouver; its not tropics but still in Canada and rarely below freezing in the winter and snows only rarely in the winter. The mountains, ocean and wilderness.. hard to beat that anywhere in the world.

I think the Caribbean would be difficult you should look into Central America its almost as good Costa Rica is beautiful and Panama is pretty cool. If you have a good set of job skills you will be okay . The best is if you are a carpenter or a mason or similar. It will not be high pay cause it aint Canada but you can live okay.

Go native. Good luck
