I want to post a parcel to canada...?

I wanna send 2 CDs to my friend in Canada, will it send to the post station or her flat directly? coz the post station is so far from her.

If i want to send to her directly, what service should I choose?

Time to live
Make sure you pack the CDs with lots of protective stuffing. All mail packages entering Canada at this time of year, are transported first by train then dog sleds. In the summer we use horse and wagon but in the winter the snow is usually above the horses heads so we can't use them.
The dog sled is a very dangerous trip for post because unfortunately the dogs like to play with it. So your package must be at least 2 inches thick on each side to avoid puncture marks from the Huskies teeth. Unless of course they are using the big Labrador dogs, which are more likely to eat your post than play with it.
Also use a very bland colour for an envelope. To avoid paying for large heated buildings the postal system in Canada uses inuit igloos for storage. Unfortunately the inuit(eskimos) are attracted to very colourful things. You cant really blame them they have been looking at nothing but white snow for centuries. So just use a plain white envelope or else the inuit might be tempted to make off with your mail.

Also If you send your post anytime after September you must include a $20 dollar($25 american dollars) extra postage inside it. This is to help the poor postmen buy winter gear.Things like parka's and snow shoes are expensive and wear out fast in extreme cold. If you don't put that money in the envelope the postman will be inclined to just bury the envelope in the snow. Which is 10 feet deep in places, so it may never be seen again until all the snow melts. This could take years!
Speaking of melting snow, there is a reason that Canadians support global warming, would you want to live 6 months of the year in 10 feet of snow?

My brother lives in British Columbia/Canada. I mail stuff to him all the time. I think it will depend how remote she lives. It can take weeks for the delivery to get there...I can tell you that! I think it gets held up at the border.

A call or visit to YOUR local post office might provide some insight or you could ask her. The fact that the parcel will be small is helpful. I think when the boxes are bigger they have to go to the post office to pick them up.

I know my anser is limited...but that is the "best answer" I can give you. Good Luck!

I've had people send me CD's from the US, and other countries before, and they will deliver it to my house, because its fits in the mailbox.

Just mail it USPS. There's an extra customs form but it's no big deal. List it as a gift so they don't have to pay taxes. Ask about media rate also. You can use media rate for CD's and it's the cheapest way to mail something. I don't know if you can use media rate internationally though. I believe if there are customs due than they will hold onto it, but if it's a gift and nothing is due than they should get it directly.
