I want to visit Canada, is my passport sufficient?

I'm a European citizen and my boyfriend is an American citizen. Can we visit Canada with just our passports, or we need extra paperwork?

An American only needs a passport. If you are from Greece you will only need a passport too.

Dude
You may need to apply for a visitors visa depending on which European country you are a citizen of. See the link below for the list countries who's citizens require visas.

I know my friend from South Africa needed a Visa but I don't think europeans need visas. Best to check either the above sites look for visitor's info or contact a travel agency.

not unless a special situation applies such as going to work there or school or an extended visit on an American passport. Depending on which country in Europe you are from a visa may or not be needed. check with the canadian embassy or consulate - here are the ones in the US:

For student or business travel, check with the Canadian Embassy, 501 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20001 (202/682-1740) or the nearest Consulate General: CA (213/346-2701), MI (313/567-2085), NY (212/596-1700 or 716/858-9501), or WA (206/443-1375). Internet: www.canadianembassy.org

Your passports are all the documentation you require. Enjoy your visit!
