Well it's just like the US... but colder! The winters here are pretty cold (-7 to -20*C), but you'll get used to it after a few years.
The taxes are pretty high, but it pays for free education & medical services.
Canada is a friendly & free country, so I don't it's difficult to live here. But if you're moving away from your family & friends... that could be really hard.

its not difficult, just go with the flow

its not diffucult at all..
probably no real difference than living in the US.. when it comes down to it..

only small differences.. were friendly.. probably safer to live here.. as not as many crimes.. free health care..

it's not difficult at all. moved to canada from europe 4 years ago and would not go back!!!
probably the hardest thing will be the weather, depending where you live now.

Canada is probably one of the easiest countries in the world to live in. You can find almost anything you are looking for when it comes to geography and location, from small villages to metropolitan centres, from craggy mountains to sweeping plains, with an ocean on either side.
If you're ambitious, it's easy to get ahead. Right now, Canada is crying for tradesmen, and there are lots of other jobs for professional and semi-professional people. The cost of living is reasonable and, with the exception of a few 'hot spots', real estate is reasonable as well. Of course, Canada has free medical care, which is a big plus.
The bottom line is, it isn't difficult to live in Canada at all.

why difficult? where do u live right now? In the rainforest or what?

It was difficult for me as I was in Ontario and had moved there from southern US where the climate is very hot and tropical. I almost couldn't hold up to the below freezing temps and five feet of snow. Am sure that over time I would have acclimated. Other than that I found the people very very friendly and made many good friends. The cost of living was a bit high though.

very difficult....running out of reindeer to pull all the sleds, very overcrowded here....with global warming our igloos have near disappeared, so a great housing shortage....our taxes are crazy too....we must pay the government 50pds of smoked wild salmon for every child and adult in the home....hence we are running low on salmon too

I moved to Canada from the states 20 months ago. There is definitely a different culture but the transition is generally painless. If you are old enough I would equate Canada's mindset to the very moderate Repulicans in the 1950's and early 1960's. Financially pretty conservative socially fairly liberal. I'm on the left coast and there will be diffence with prairie and atlantic provinces. In case your interested if you have a marketable skill you will be welcomed. economy is very strong at the moment. Out here if you can drive a nail straight and know one end of a wrench from another you can find employment. good luck.

cutie pie!
not difficult at all! its actually very nice if i do say so myself. sure we have winter but the snow is pretty, but we also do get warm weather.
