You can view Niagara falls either from the US or Canada side. However, it's more beautiful on the Canadian side. Take a coach tour to Toronto that include the falls also. A trip to the falls is not complete without taking the Maid of the Mist boat ride. That's the closest you can get to feeling the sprays from the fall.

There are hotels in Niagara City or you might like to spend some time in Toronto and then travel to the Falls by rented car or public transport. I have been to the Falls and it was a truly awesome sight.

First you need to take a flight to Canada - Toronto is best and then organise a car or book a whole tour. Try and internet search and you can probably get a package of flight, hotel and Niagra Falls.

from where are you travelling? You can either start from Toronto of New York (they have day trips specially for the Niagara Falls). I was there about 14 years ago. It is a beauty worth visiting. Have fun.
