Some countries have states.Canada has provinces and territories. The difference between a state and a province is to compare the governmental authority and geographical organization of two countries, one with a state system and one with a province system.I suggest you to read the history of Canada "by location" then you will understand why we have different provinces |

Different provinces exist so that political decisions can be localized and people can move to the place that suits them.
I think for the Western provinces, it's a unique situation because most of the provinces are sparsely populated. It may have to do with agricultural resources, I'm not sure, I'm not Canadian.
Outside of Canada, everyone thinks Canada is one! The Calgary Stampede sure creates that feeling of One-ness of all of Canada. :) |

We have different provinces because we joined Canada at different times and brought with us our own provincial and territorial histories and identities at that time. Canada does not expect anyone to give up that identity to be only Canadian, but rather accepts the diversity, and is proud of it. Even within provinces there can be more than one identity - Labradorians and Cape Breton Islanders certainly consider themselves unique within their provinces. We are an eclectic and amicable mix of people, who share one great commonality - Canada - as well as many other lesser commonalities. Most countries have political divisions of some sort - provinces, states, counties, shires, districts, etc. That has nothing to do with being "foreign". |

What the hell are you trying to say? America has states, and other countries like Canada have provinces, what does it have to do with being a foreigner? |

because canada is a vast nation with various different cultures and ethnicities intermingled, all with different values. Provinces can closely relate to this
Also, please learn english. I was able to figure out what you were asking through your last question but this is terribly incoherent. |

Foreigner is usually only applied only to people from another country not a political division within a country. I guess the closest thing would be "come from away" or CFA meaning that you come from another part of Canada.
Using this reference
# a person who comes from a foreign country; someone who does not owe allegiance to your country
# someone who is excluded from or is not a member of a group
wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn
A person from another province or town could be considered a foreigner but only in the most technical sense of the word. |
