You should definitely go to Yonge Street (longest street in the world) it's very close to many attractions in Toronto, there are plenty of great night clubs, bars etc and don't forget to go to the Eaton Centre.
I'm from Toronto. |

Depends on your interests.
For ALL KINDS of info (incl. events taking place during your planned stay), check out the city's magazine @ http://www.torontolife.com/
The Theatre - there are wonderful theatres - check listings for currently running productions.
Charm/Architecture - Baldwin Street (see link to Toronto Life article below), Casa Loma, The CN Tower, Yorkville (neighbourhood), Cabbagetown (neighbourhood), and so MANY more.
Enjoy a meal at: The Royal York Hotel, 360 (top of the CN Tower - but only if you've got $ to spare). Also, check out the links provided below - you may find something there you like.
I used to live in Toronto. My then-boyfriend and I used to love to visit the banking district in the evenings. There was one spot that had a large fountain. We'd sit there in the dim light, enjoying the dancing waters, and listen to the sounds of the city over on Yonge Street. It always seemed we were all alone - a sea of tranquility in the middle of a bustling metropolis. It was very romantic ! |

I suggest NOT going to places like Spaghetti Factory (gross!) and CN Tower. These are tourist traps! Buy yourself a Day Pass at any Subway station and make use of the great public transportation system in Tdot. Explore fun neighborhoods like Little Italy, Kensington Market, Greektown, Chinatown, Beaches, Cabbagetown, downtown etc etc. Toronto has great neighborhoods and that should be your focus- all of these places are explorable within a 3 day time span. As you go through the neighborhoods, you'll be able to see the entire city and get a sense of 'real Toronto.' All rest depends on what you like to do, eat, dance, music, theatre, etc. Google Toronto neighborhoods/Toronto culture, buy a map (or get from hotel), and have fun! |

You really should take a trip up the CN tower, just as spectacular at night as it is in the daytime! you can see for miles!! Well worth a look! |
|

Old Fart

If it is still there. The spaghetti house (I think) All the lighting is "Tiffany" and the food is great, well worth a visit. Stand on the glass floor at the top of the CN Tower. |

Some places I love (little secrets):
Food:
Duff's wings (on bayview)
Joy Thai (if you like that thai food)
Black Camel (rosedale subway)
Restaurants:
Centro and North 44 (expensive)
lots of great places on college (little italy)
Hemmingway's (Yorkville)
Bars:
Grace O'mally's
Midtown (sweet lounge)
Tattoo (rock club)
The Madison (huge manison turned into a wicked bar with heated patio)
Bier Market
Clubs: all are pricey drinks (thats why i stop going to clubs)
Circa (huge, has a theme, lots of different levels and song selection)
Guvernment
Lot 332 (very nice)
Embassy
Inside
Sight seeing not in a guide book...hmmmm:
check out the steam whistle brewery (great tour and you get drunk for like $12
Mt. pleasent cemetery (kinda wierd i know, but its nice)
go on the broadwalk in the summer
lots of great neighbourhoods
go see the smallest livable house in the world...its tiny (i still can't believe some lives there

Anyone in Toronto for 3 days should shorten their stay by at least 2 days. Toronto's dirty, run down, crime ridden, and the people are morons. It's a big pile of cement with the country's worst as residents. Spend your time and money elsewhere. Other than size (if that impresses you) Toronto has nothing going for it. |
