Just to add to the above answers, there is also a casino (gambling) on either side (US & Canada). Hope you enjoy your visit! Have a nice day.

Buffalo NY is about 20 miles or so from Niagara Falls. And Niagara Falls, NY is the closest city to the actual water falls.

You are very close from Buffalo but not close enough to see the falls..........You need about a 20 minute drive.

...we are going 2 da fallz 4 the last time before u need a passport come June 09 --- I think Niagara Falls, New York is the closet because you can "walk" to and from each country...

hi i live 3 hours away from niagara falls and its nicer to see in Canada. You dont get as a nice view in Buffalo. Its better to go across the bridge and stay over and see the falls especially in the summer with all the lights at night. Its so beautiful.

cherring4
Buffalo New York is the U.S. city that is closest to the Niagara Falls. The Canada side of the falls is the prettiest place to view the falls. Just drive across the bridge there in Buffalo to the Canadian side and view the falls. Aboslutely beautiful.
