I have lived in Toronto, Montreal, and currently Vancouver. I have traveled moderately around the country, and feel how blessed we are with all the beauty and diversity surrounding us.

Take your pick:

For young and younger at heart, a night life, cultural lover,
nothing beats Montreal.

For actives, sport oriented, outdoor lovers, Vancouver is a head and shoulder above.

Fast paced, business oriented, go for Toronto.

And the beauty of it is that you can find plenty of all of the above, in virtually every part of the country.

Alberta, because that is where I live now and I love the east side of the Rockies, and BC because that is where I grew up and it is beautiful as well. However, Alberta is a lot cheaper to live.

It sure is a small city but it is just beautiful
you can see all the historical buildings in downtown that were built a long time ago.

It is very cold and we get lots of snow in the winter
but it is very hot in the summer!

I live in the Okanagan Valley in BC, and love it here. I'm originally from Vancouver, so I am somewhat partial to the beauty of BC.
However I have been to every province, and I would have to say if I couldn't live in BC, I would pick Nova Scotia. I love the laidback lifestyle, the people, and the scenery. Not too sure about the winters though.

I'd love to live in Whitehorse YT. I like the slower pace of life, the friendly people, and the beautiful country in the Yukon.

The day I got of the bus in Calgary Alberta Canada I knew I had found my new home. I love it here and it is within driving distance of what I want to see. I have lived here 52 years .

Beautiful beaches and It's a bit less rainy, little to no snow, more sunlight, not too far from Vancouver or the U.S. border. i'll be moving there next year and can't wait. I'm originally from Toronto and would chose T.O., save for the snow, I couldn't handle the winters, but it is a beautiful city with so much to offer.

I live in British Columbia Canada, and I love it; no other place to be. Vancouver Island is the best, and so are the Rocky mountains.

I'm from Montreal and I really like it.
Although if I had the chance to move anywhere else in Canada I would because it would be so interesting to live in different cities. canada is so big that it would be a big change. I don't really know where i'd choose though. probably somewhere out west, just to see what its like.

I would for sure live in somewhere around Banff National Park. It is beautiful. We went on vacation there and I have been all over the world and it has to be my favorite place.

I have visited Windsor to Moosonee! But i think my favourite city in Ontario is Elmira.

I love Toronto. I'm between The Thousand Islands, Muskoka, Lake Huron, Niagara Falls, etc. Central to lots of places.

I love Ottawa more than any other city in Canada...but from there on out, I would say Victoria is my second favourite city and then Halifax. I dislike SW Ontario because you get stuck there and never leave and everyone knows everyone (I have three generations of family there), but Ottawa is brilliant for so many reasons that I'm sure you experienced as a child, but even more that you haven't yet experienced!

Vancouver is the world's most desirable place to live, according to a survey of EIU.

The Canadian city, nestled on the Pacific coast, was one of four locations in that country to rank at the top of the Economist Intelligence Unit's livability survey, which looked at conditions in 127 cities.

The other top-ranking Canadian cities were Toronto, Calgary and Montreal.

The EIU study assessed nearly 40 indicators in five broad categories -- stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.

"In the current global political climate, it is no surprise that the most desirable destinations are those with a lower perceived threat of terrorism," said Jon Copestake, editor of the report.

"This reflects the fact that many global business centers have a developed infrastructure and widespread availability," the report states. "Still, the overwhelming majority of cities in the top livability range are based in western Europe and North America."

The report said Canada, "with low crime, little threat from instability or terrorism and a highly developed infrastructure," is the most livable destination in the world.

Best cities to live in (ranked in order)
Calgary - close to the mountains, beautiful city, chinooks
Edmonton - great people, beautiful river valley, cold/long winters
Vancouver - great climate, if you don't mind rain
Toronto - It is the 'New York City' of Canada

I do prefer the West, lot's of opportunity.
