If you are only 15, As a parent I would certainly worry about you going alone- if you are staying with a friend that's another story- then it's just up to you and your parents to work out being picked up at the station and communicating with them. If you intend on going alone - I would advise against it. It's a tougher world out there than you might imagine and you're just going to put a lot of anxiety on your parents by taking off on your own.

I would impress upon them how important it is for you to go- and try to see if someone will be willing to go with you- even an older friend or someone your parents trust.

I hope this is helpful and take care.... Bob in Providence

There are lots of logistical problems to traveling on your own. As a young American you will need written parental permission to cross the border. And you are too young to rent a hotel.

So, best if you just keep trying to talk your family into it. Try research Toronto area attractions that your family might like.

try to find a youth tour group or something, try Youth Hostels Association
If you are 15 you should not be in ANY strange city all by yourself.

Hi, Not a good idea to be in Toronto by yourself at age 15, too many predators of all sorts.

Be wise, stay with your folks or someone you can trust (aunts, uncles, grand parents).

Toronto is definitely not a town for a 15 yr old by yourself.

Rather be safe than sorry.

Toronto is a pretty grown up place to be by yourself. Coming here by yourself and not knowing anyone spells out disaster. It wont be like going to NYC by yourself, still dangerous just the same. My advice for a 15yo is to stay at home with your family.

There are so many disasters with young people in Toronto. Please don't come just yet. Wait until you are a little older and better able to care for yourself. In this case, your family is right.

depends on how they know you if your a responsible person
