Yes you need a valid passport to go to Germany.You can't go (fly) to Germany or any other overseas countries without a passport.

Of course, you need a passport to go anywhere out of the country but I think you may be thinking of a visa. You probably will be covered by the Visa Waiver Program since you are Canadian and most likely one of the countries covered by it (which also includes the United States).

Yes you would. Anytime you leave your country to go into another country you need your passport. No other way around it.

Yes you need a passport to fly into a foreign country. The only time you wouldn't need a passport is if you were on Land or Sea in the US, Canada, Mexico and 26 Caribbean Islands. Even for that you will need a passport by next June.

You will need a passport to go to Germany. Anytime you leave Canada (except for going to the US at the present time) you need a passport to enter and leave that country.
