Yes, yes your education is eligible for immigration. Canada wants skilled workers like you. You can try larger cities like Vancouver and Toronto. But you should look into other cities in Canada such as Edmonton, Winnipeg, etc.
I'd also like to comment on one of the answers you received about choosing the US over Canada... this person is quite ignorant. Canada has excellent schools and universities which is more affordable that the US. Many who graduated from colleges/ universites are sucessful and world renowned. Canada is a good country to live in because not only its beautiful, the people are much more polite, knowlegable about the world and health care is given too all despite economic status. Unlike the US where there are people out there who lose all they have just to pay outrageous hospital bills for life saving procedures. I will credit the US for being an excellent country to live in to. Many opportunites can be had there,but do not judge other countries when you do not know yourself what you're talking about. |

Yes the other person is quite right. Bigger cities have bigger scopes. Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver are your best bets.
But other cities such as Calgary and Edmonton can also have opportunities within your field.
But the only hindrance is the LONG WAIT,........may be between 5 to 6 years, but go to this http://www.cic.gc.ca website and as now there is a new rule in place for skill people and there are like 38 catergories which target the skill working class and if you fall in these catergories than you can be here within two years.
