In the blistering cold in Ontario,CA Is it impossible to have a fun andromantic getaway in mid January? |
I have planned a suprise gettaway for my boyfriend and I (we are in our mid 20's) to fly from Florida to BUF and then drive to Niagara falls, Canada and stay for 5 days. The hotel I have is right over the falls the deal is great and includes most of our meals. I wanted to go snowboarding one day and catch some cool sites the rest. He has never been there I was there for a day in July it was beautiful but it was also warm. However, the temps look like the high is 20 deg. and the low is 7. I was also thinking about taking a drive to toronto or some place interesting nearby. Is there anything in driving distance from the hotel that we can do? Is it even worth it to go there in these temps? I really wanted him to have a good time and he's already not happy about going (due to the fact that he doesent know where he is going ...lol just that it's going to be freezing). Unfortunatly. I have already bought the tickets. Help!? |

Ontario isn't that cold right now. You should have seen it a couple days ago. Anyways, the temperature is going to be dropping in the next two weeks gradually. Try blue mountain for snowboarding, my brother goes there. You can try toronto and go to the CN tower and the Royal Ontario Museum. Although toronto tends to get a bit smoggy, they have good shopping there, so you might want to check that out. |

uh people usually go to florida from these parts this time of the year. but nonetheless, there's tons of stuff to do in toronto...CN Tower, Eaton Centre, nice bars and restaurants, myriad activities to do. Get a tourist handbook and check out the places. Also go to a ski resort. |

well if your going snowboarding your going to have to go up north to some ski resorts like blue mountian /collingwood .You would find any places to snowboard in niagra falls .
if you drive to toronto their is more attractions ...just use a search engine or I believ their is toronto.com
your best bet I would agree is to rent a car and drive into toronto |

Its really not that cold, just dress for it. You can be in Toronto in 45 mins to an hour depending on traffic. Florida is pretty cold right now to eh? Flurries and stuff?
Royal Ontario Museum, CN tower, take a walk down Spadina, St Lawerance market, Ontario Scienc Center. |

Ontario isn't THAT cold. Dress for the weather - like you would anywhere - and you'll have a great time. |
