No. Not at the current market rate.
Calgary is expensive, be prepared to pay extreme prices for everything. Lets all remember that what goes up comes down. Calgary housing prices are beginning to slip, and an exodus to Saskatchewan is beginning. With oil royalties increasing in Alberta, as well as the province having already licensed the bulk majority of it's oil, one could expect the Alberta economy to begin to cool. I'd at least push for 10 hours a day.
My recommendation is to move to Saskatchewan. You'll get near as much money, cheaper insurance, no health care premiums etc. You can become a homeowner. Over the next few years Alberta's economy will recede and Saskatchewan's will increase. The same goes for the housing prices. Many people (myself included) have realized theres no future for anyone in Alberta outside of the oil industry. |

you have posted this question a couple of times and we gave you the answers. yes 50000 is enough but you said the job offer was for a chef and you're working 12 hours a day. if you make the necessary computations, they are only paying you at about 17 dollars per hour which is not fair. chefs are not being paid that amount of money in calgary. again, tim horton's service crew are being paid 14/hour |

I'm answering Tom here -
I wouldn't move to Saskatchewan - the personal taxes there are higher so you lose more of what you make. Groceries cost the same in Saskatchewan as they do here.
The only difference right now is the housing prices and that is correctly itself quickly as SK prices go up and AB prices go down. |

The incentives that they are offering you are very good. The labor market being tight there means you will have other options as well if you feel you can do better. Go for it.
I've lived in Calgary before as well as Saskatoon and now in San Diego, which is a more expensive market. You wouldn't get any of those incentives here. |
