Is Canada more beautiful than America?

I'm still young, but one day after I have enough money saved, I want to move to paradise. Canada always appealed to me. The only thing I have a problem with is the cold, but my question is how beautiful is canada? I was thinking of moving to Vancover, british columbia. Would that be the more ideal place to live than new york?

Personally, I love Canada, we area beautiful country, and we have amazing rights and previalages, like free health care.
Vancouver does have a much nicer climate than most of Canada, I'm thinking of moving there myself when I am older, I live in Ontario now (It's -11oC today! That's 12oF It was -20oC here yesterday.) It doesn't tend to go below -5oC in Vancouver.
It is beautiful too, I personally think its one of the prettiest places in Canada. Suposedly there are beaches nearby that are open in the summer. Also, just across the water on Vancouver Island (Vancouer is not on Vancouver Island) there are amazing centuries old trees, they are so tall, the forests are beautiful! And I think about a 8? hour drive to the east are the rocky mountains (they're breath taking!)
I do not know if you should base where you live on beauty, when camparing New York and Vancouver you have to remember Vancouver has a population of about one million, whereas New York is more like 19 million. Also, Vancouver is very mulitcultural, like most of Canada. The cities themselves are propbaly very different. You'd want to visit them before you moved.
Also, you would probably want to get a candain citizenship, right? And you may want to see how the laws differ, for example I believe (not sure though) that Vancouver is very envoirnmental friendly, so there would be laws regardeing that. And Canada tends to be very strict about smoking, in ontario you can't smoke under pavilions.
Also, in canada there are subtile differences, such as celuis (not ferinherit), centimetres (not inches), kilometres (not miles), washromm/bathroom (not restroom), couch (not sofa), garabage (not trash), prime minster (not president)though those shouldn't be too hard to adjust too.
Overall, Vancouver is a beautiful city, and they are hosting the Winter Olympics in 2010!
But as to whcih is a more ideal place to live, I think that depends on who you are and what you like. Outdoors? Shopping? Busy and Bustling? More clean and calm ?(overal, I'm sure certain areas of the city differ)
Good luck with your choice, and definitly do your reasearch and visit. And you may have to look into immigration to move to Vancouver.

I personally think that Canada is much more beautiful place than America. I have lived in both Countries and I do agree with other answers both have good and bad ... But the good is alot easier to find in Canada.
People are 110 % more friendly in Canada.

Canada is beautiful I love living here more than anything. Our winters aren't cold everywhere but the summers are always warm.

I really don't think that you could easily make such a statement. Each place has it's own beauty, if you care to look.

I have lived in and visited many countries, and finally settled in Canada. But this does not mean it's because the country is so beautiful: it's the sum of experiences, family ties, economy, political structure, and a whole host of other factors, which helped me make this decision.

But I can find beauty (and do so every time I venture forth) in many other places: USA, Costa Rica, Bahamas, Nevis, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Cuba to name a few - the list goes on.

I would not call Canada "paradise", and doubt such a place exists - no flaws, no flies in the ointment. Closest I ever came to this description was in Vermont ( Smuggler's Notch area), and on Nevis.
But much will depend on your definition of "paradise".

Vancouver is certainly a good choice, but if I had to move from TO, I'd pick the east Coast. The people are generally more genuine, are friendly and open - but then no mountains, and colder winters. But cold water salmon is much better than the pacific variety - if you allow this as a reason. -:)

Good luck in your quest.

Every country has it's beauty and areas that are not so beautiful.

I think America is beautiful....I think Germany is beautiful...I think Canada is beautiful...Austria is beautiful...France is ...nice.....Czechoslovakia is beautiful....(Slovinia) ......I haven't been anywhere where I have not seen some unbelievable beauty.

i don't know where you live in the states, but vancouver has the same climate as washington state or oregon. it's warmer and more mild than any other Canadian province.

why not come and visit before making a decision?

More national parks. But you don't have Cali, Florida, and Hawaii in Canada. NYC is way better man. Very diverse, up 24/7, and more people than Vancouver. In my opinion Canada's alright, but not the place to move if you're young and adventorous.

NOO!
vancouver or canada at all sucks buttt
i live here in van and i hate it im 18 and have been waiting since i was 13 to move to cali and get out of here
theres absoultly nothing to do, wheather is the worst rain everyday except for augest but every month other than that one, the shopping sux, only place where i shop is i go across the border to washington because thats how bad it is here. everyone allways say its so beautiful but i dont kno what there talking about prob the mountains but come on , move to new york a 100 times more than here , but the best place would be cali
