hey
I lived in Canada half my life, and America the other half..
and I would definitely say I prefer Canada. Every DAY, I wish I were living there.

The people are so kind and generous, the education is wonderful, free health care, jobs give good pay.

It gets cold during the winter, but not much more than it gets in America, really. And the snowfall in the winter is SO beautiful. In the spring and summer, it's warm and lovely weather for the beach. :) [there's so many great beaches in Canada]

There's Canada's Wonderland, too, which is pretty much the best amusement park ever.

Above everything, there's just a certain feeling of... inner peace and happiness that you get from living in Canada... that feeling is something I haven't felt in America.

EDIT: By the way, 1 American dollar is 1.2395 Canadian dollars. Also, if you move to Canada, live in Toronto (which is in Ontario), or a suburb of Toronto. :) Great place to live.

Dead Day Afternoon
Yes, it is Mr. Hasselhoff.
Move here, we have good burgers that you can eat off the floor.

To gr8shortstop04, lottI, Gonna Be a Doctor and anyone else who believes that Canada has free health care: please stop telling this to people because it isn't true. Canada has never had free health care. The truth is that we pay very high taxes to pay for whatever medically necessary procedures we undergo.

1) As for the question itself: people working in Canada are paid in Canadian dollars.

2) What's this being "...controlled by Obama..."? Geez, the man hasn't even gone through his inauguration and already some people are squawking about him. Why not wait and see what he has to offer the American people before instantly assuming he's up to no good?

3) The women here are as hot as women anywhere else. If you're interested in coming up here just to score, then you may be out of luck,

Lott I
i love it
snow is beautiful, but it's only here for like 4 months
then it's warm. and summers are hot :)
and we have a TON of beaches

we have free healthcare, :)
and its not expensive really..

I live in Canada, I'm sure you have heard a lot of thing about Canada just like we have heard a lot of things about USA. The economic isn't much different, currently US dollars are worth more than CAN dollars so you would receive more money if you want to change currency. The worth would be about the same though because the "price of life" Is a little higher depending where you wanna live in Canada.
On another note, Canada is a fine place, there are 4 seasons which is a big plus in my opinion. You can experiment every seasons and you can practice winter and summer sports. Ask me if you have anything else you are curious about.

Hope I could help.

I am not sure how moving to Canada would benefit you if your reason for leaving USA is opposition to Obama. But the most conservative Canadian province is Alberta.

Keep in mind though Canada has free national healthcare, no death penalty, same-sex marriage, a ban on possession of hand guns, and has not supported the Iraq War from the start. If you still want to move to Canada, and you feel there are other issues you feel closer ties with Canada, then you can apply using the points system and find a job offer in Canada.

Like I said, Alberta would be a good province for you.

Cheese!
I live in Canada!!!!!
