I agree that the best part of visiting the castle is the outside. There are too many beautiful neighborhoods in Toronto to spend the short time you have walking through mostly empty rooms in a castle with not much history attached to it.

Check out my site for ideas for your trip:

Enjoy your visit to our great city!

personally I wouldn't ..but if your into just walking around a castle then I guess it would

Only if you are in the neighbourhood. The waterfront (sites you mentioned) and the Toronto Island(s) are more interesting.

One of them, yes, that is, if you like castles.

I go to college practically right across the street from it. It's a nice sight outside, but it's too much of a ripoff to justify going on a tour IMO :/

Have fun at the other places, you aren't missing much at casa loma

I live near it and haven't been. Me and my husband walked up to it once and saw how much it cost and turned around. It was like $16 or something like that. I have been to castles in Europe that cost less and this is jsut some guys house.

Casa Loma is great if you like older homes and gardens.

I would definately do the CN tower, Kensington Market is alright.

Toronto has a great China Town that has great shops and restuarants in it.

The Beaches is a nice part of Toronto on the lake.

Also check out the Hockey Hall of Fame for a truely Canadian experience.

Every schoolchild in Toronto gets taken there. Few ever return as adults.
