Is Casa Loma in Toronto worth visiting, costs?

Yes. No one is going to deny that it is an "overpriced tourist attraction" to some extent, but that doesn't mean it is not worth it to go. It does cost money to keep the place up, and I don't expect to get to tour it for free.

I personally have been twice, and I love going.

Of course, it depends on your personal interests as well. Someone who doesn't like rides will hate Disneyland. If you do not like history, architecture, antiques, castles, etc. than you likely may want to think twice.

That said, it is a wonderful experience and a great way to spend a couple of hours on a nice afternoon. Check out some of the restaurants in the beautiful surrounding area afterwards. I highly doubt you will regret going, I think you may regret NOT going more.

That said, if you don't enjoy it, it's not like you'll be out $50.

The experience is worth the (reasonable) price, in my opinion.

Have fun!

The prices ($17 Adult) are all here:

sooo not! have you been to a castle before? if not, and have no other chance to...ever, then maybe...
my husband's family wanted to go, so we went. I don't think anyone was remotely impressed...including the family member who was the most excited about it. we all agreed that it was overpriced and overrated.

Personally I really enjoyed it. I go whenever I'm in Toronto. Of course that's not very often but I do like it.

I wouldn't recommend it, but I went there in gradeschool. From what I've heard, it hasn' t gotten better.

If you want an alternative, better and inexpensive place to spend a day, I'd recommend Pioneer Village for an educational but fun place. It's in the north end, near York University, but they have lots of cheapo gifts like corn cob pipes and rock candy, and lots of buildings to explore. When I went (years ago) they even had a magic show for free with admission.

I liked it and I have been to castles in Denmark and England. It doesn't compare age-wise but is interesting nonetheless. You bring this phone type thing with you into each room and press the room number and you get the history of the room, etc. It's good. I'd go again.
