Vancouver is not far from Toronto? Have you looked at a map lately? Montreal is only about 550 km away, while Vancouver is more than 4,000 km away. If by easier he means you won't have to drive through Quebec, then he's right. |

It takes approx. 5 hours to drive to Montreal and at least 2 full days to drive to Vancouver. Vancouver is much much further. The drive to Vancouver is also can be very dull as you travel through the prairies where it is flat empty land for the majority of the trip. |

Montreal is a lot closer to Toronto than Vancouver. It will only take you about 5-6 hours to drive from Toronto to Montreal, where it can take you up to 3-4 days to drive to Vancouver. |

This is not true - Montreal is much more further from Vancouver than Toronto. Toronto is about 5 hours drive to Montreal. Vancouver is way on the west coast in Canada, in British Columbia and it takes a few days to get there by driving. |
