Is Montreal further than Vancouver from Toronto?

I am planing to drive to either Vancouver or Montreal for summer vacation my uncle keep telling me that driving to Vancouver would be better and easier for him than driving to Montreal because montreal is too far east and vancouver is not that far from toronto.

is this true?

Vancouver is not far from Toronto? Have you looked at a map lately? Montreal is only about 550 km away, while Vancouver is more than 4,000 km away. If by easier he means you won't have to drive through Quebec, then he's right.

onestep_42
It takes approx. 5 hours to drive to Montreal and at least 2 full days to drive to Vancouver. Vancouver is much much further. The drive to Vancouver is also can be very dull as you travel through the prairies where it is flat empty land for the majority of the trip.

not that far?? Don't you own a map?? Toronto is by FAR closer to Montreal than to Vancouver! Where is your uncle??

PfcsBaby
Montreal is a lot closer to Toronto than Vancouver. It will only take you about 5-6 hours to drive from Toronto to Montreal, where it can take you up to 3-4 days to drive to Vancouver.

Toronto to Montreal is like Buffalo to Boston (maybe even less).

Toronto to Vancouver is like Buffalo to Seattle!

3 to 4 days drive to Vancouver but only 6 to 8 hours to Montreal depending on how you drive and traffic
I've done the drive

montreal is like a 4 hour drive from toronto. Its alot closer

thisisnotdel
This is not true - Montreal is much more further from Vancouver than Toronto. Toronto is about 5 hours drive to Montreal. Vancouver is way on the west coast in Canada, in British Columbia and it takes a few days to get there by driving.
