No, it is fresh water, I have tasted it.

indian_gogirl
given that it flows from a river that originates inland, no, it's freshwater

asaucygal
No -- it is a connector in the freshwater great lakes. It connects Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. Ontario eventually empties into the St. Lawrence Seaway, where it flows into the Atlantic. There it meets the saltwater of the ocean

Take a look at the map below, to familiarize yourself and learn a little something. It is in the narrow band between the two lakes to the right.

Melissa

no fresh water

kingstonsean
It is fresh water. The Great Lakes (the Niagara river drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario) contain 1/5 of the world's fresh surface water.

How does it smell? It doesn't have a nose, so it doesn't smell.
