I could not disagree more with rsolcz.

It is important to appreciate that Canada is a more subtle place to visit than most other places in the world. It is a place where everything you find is genuine and not so overly marketed. Life is very down to earth and communities are closer, so advertising of material goods and services is less necessary.

The catch is you have to search a bit harder to find the hidden treasures in Canada's provinces. What you will find will be more unique and more crafty that that which gets advertised.

Yes it is part of Canada, and please tell me you aren't serious. This is why Canadians think Americans know nothing of their country. You're making other Americans that actually know things like this look bad. I hope you don't think Canadians live in igloos and are all lumber jacks or something strange like that.

Mike, you're an American, aren't you.

Did you think it was part of Europe[that's a continent ]

There are two separatist movements:
The Cape Breton Liberation Army wants to separate from the mainland.
Another group wants to cut the whole thing off from New Brunswick and tow it to warmer climes.

rsolcz
It is technically, on a legal basis, a part of Canada, but nobody really cares about Nova Scotia except for Nova Scotia. Actually, outside of Toronto, there's basically nothing worth while in Canada.
