No. But it may be relevant to know that last fall the Prime Minister of Canada (of which, Quebec is a province), declared that the Quebecois are an independent "nation." There is no legal meaning to nation, but the word usually means people of the same language and religion.

There are English-speaking people in Quebec who are not Quebecois, and others in Quebec who speak neither English nor French who are not Quebecois.

And there are French communities outside Quebec. The Acadians are an important community or nation or whatever you want to call it.

No Quebec is not a separate country. It is a CANADIAN provice, And it is a French speaking CANADIAN province (Not a French Province as answered above)

A province is like a state in the United States. Although there are fewer. Canada has 13 provinces, The United States has 50 States

The province of Quebec also has a major city called Quebec City. So in that way it is like New York State which is home to New York City

So Quebec City, QE = New York, NY (roughly)

Because Quebec is so french, they have been trying for years to become separate, but so far that hasn't been successful.

Quebec is a province in the country of Canada. It wants to declare its sovereignty from the country and create the French country of Quebec. They have had two referendums to question the people about separating from Canada but both the people voted to stayb within Canada.

soccerknocker199
no but they want to seperate from canada

BillyB8

No.....it is a Province of Canada

There are some people in that Province who would like to think they are...separate and would if could

They don't know it but we are Canadians

No, it is a separate province. Quebec City is a very beautiful place in the winter. I recommend it highly.
