Is Toranto centrally heated?

Show all answers

snowbarbie
Houses in Toronto, as in all Canadian cities, are equipped with efficient central heating systems. They may be fuelled by gas, electricity or oil.

The people who tell you that we live in primitive conditions or worse still, igloos, are teasing you - we make it a National pastime to fool people from other countries so that only those with a great sense of humour will want to emigrate here!

Assuming you mean Toronto and not Toranto which is in Italy, Yes most houses and buildings in Toronto have their own central heating, there are some buildings in the down town core that have heat supplied by a city utility and I know of at least one building that is heated by waste heat from the printing presses, lighting and people.

Go Blue
Only in the winter. In the winter a massive bubble is placed over the city and heat is funneled in through a large underground tunnel to the Caribbean.

In the summer we're left to fend for ourselves, although if we're lucky it gets up to -25.

WTF?

Total Drama Island Know-It-All
Toronto, not 'Toranto'

W
Toronto, Canada is a city, not a house.
