It's still a beautiful city, but there are far too many graffiti 'artists' who seem to think their 'works' should be prominently displayed on public and private buildings. There has been a concentrated campaign to clean up the graffiti, but it's still there. However, aside from the graffiti, Vancouver is still beautiful. Fortunately, they haven't figured out how to spray paint the mountains and the ocean..... |

As long as you stay away from the bad side of town, its fairly clean. |

On a sunny day Vancouver is stunning!
it has changed over the years quite a bit.. there is a lot of homelessness and vandalism/crime but if you stay on the Westside, North Shore and Downtown/Yaletown/West End you will still thing Vancouver is beautiful! |

It is an amazingly beautiful city and this is the very best time of the year here. Everything is green and lush and everything is blooming. Just the view when driving over the Cambie Bridge to downtown at night takes your breath away! The grand silence when you walk into Stanley Park is only matched by standing in the glorious sunshine in Burnaby and looking up at the mountains still covered in snow, or standing at ocean edge in Kits and watching the ships pass in all their grandeur. |

Yeah it's pretty cool here. Depends what part of town though. I have no idea where you were, pretty much every alleyway here has been covered with graffiti for as long as I can remember. And there are soo many bums downtown that you can't even keep count. But I still love it here. Some areas are pretty nice, like UBC area and Kitsilano. We're the healthiest city in Canada, so I hear.
But wow, there is a lot of graffiti. |

It is even more beautiful than it was 10 years ago. The city has done a magnificent job of planned development around
False Creek, and Coal Harbor ( Two main area of Downtown Vancouver )
Yes, I would have preferred to have all those high rises been reduced by numbers and in height. But, there was no stopping that, so my hat off to the city for managing the developments tastefully. |

Vancouver is probably cleaner than it was when you last visited the city although graffiti is somewhat difficult to control at times. They are on a major clean-up campaign because of the 2010 Olympics and they want the city to be at it's best. Hastings Street at Main Street is still a seedy area with drug sales and addicts hanging around but otherwise the city is look good. |

for everyone that thinks Vancouver is a dirty city, open your eyes, because we live in one of the cleanest in the world. |

No. The downtown eastside now has thousands of homeless drug addicts shooting up in the street and the alleys. There is a high crime rate because of drug addiction.
BC's biggest industry is growing marijuana. |
