Is anyone living in Canada? (currently)?

My family and I are going on a Cruise to Canada. I never been there and, I was just wondering how it's like up there. i live in NJ (not that it matters), and I'm packing for the trip, but I'm concerned what type of clothing I should pack.

Basically I'm asking how is the weather in Canada.
I don't really know exactly what part we're stopping by,
so can you try to help me out, and tell me the tempature, please. etc, please and thank you.

Don't be rude either.

It sounds like Bob (the guy who answered before me) is trying to sell you his house. I'm from Montreal. You'll like that city too and no one will try to sell you a house.

It's summer here so you can expect to see temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees. ( that's 80 to 90 American degrees).

Wear whatever you would wear in New Jersey.

I hope you have a good time here. I enjoyed my many visits to Cape May in your state.

I may shock you all, but I live in Canada, and right now it's like 80 degrees!!!!!! In the summer, some parts of Canada become very hot. As long as your not going too far north, which I doubt you will be considering your going on a cruise, you should pack summer clothes.

I live in Vancouver. It is a ways from you, but it is a beautiful city. Eastern Canada is nice too.

Once you find out where you are going i suggest hitting www.weathernetwork.com
you can imput where you are going and they can give up to 2 weeks long range forcast.
Like the previous poster said the country does vary quite a bit, although all of it will be very warm, some are quite humid (like NJ) and some are very dry (like Nevada)
I currently live south of Toronto and we have already seen 95 F and it is only Mid June. As well as where you will be visiting also depends on what to visit and what to see, what foods to eat ect.

I'm in America now, and have never been to Canada. However, I have travelled and have advice for you.

First of all, Canada is huge and the weather is diverse across the country.

Dressing in layers is the way to go. Sometimes, the weather can change no matter the season or where you are.

While cruising, you will be hot during the day, cold at night. Layers! A light jacket, a sweatshirt, a long sleeve, and a tee.

My family and I have a beautiful 5 bedroom bungalow with a finished basement, screened in florida room, sun porch, mudroom, paved driveway 36 x 18 garage with attached 36 x 18 insulated , heated workshop, on a little over 1 acre bordering a trout creek. Weather here in eastern New Bunswick, east of Maine is a beautiful 70-80 F. in the summer. Can get warmer, can get a little cooler. Enjoy your voyage. If you want to compare costs to your area, we paid 125,000 . Taxes are around 1,000. per year. Bring sweaters for cooler evenings on the water and rain gear as well. Take time to walk old Quebec City if you get the chance.
