It depends on what city you live in. Canada is a huge country, bigger than the US in size. In Vancouver, and Calgary the houses are very expensive, and the cost of living is high also. Toronto which is the largest city in Canada is also pricey. I would say the eastern part of the country would be best. New Brunswick, Nova Scotia are more like small town cities, but nice places to live. Montreal is a very diverse city, and housing there is not expensive, but there's a lot of french there. If you only speak english you may have a hard time finding work. In my opinion it's a better place to live than the US for example. People are nicer, there is much less crime, less poverty, cleaner cities, people can't carry firearms, yet it still retains all of the good things. Like technology, cars, etc...

On the new edition of Monopoly, Montreal was voted most prestigious city, and is taking the place of Boardwalk. That has to be good.

W0lf, your response has been reported.

As for the question, understand that "cheap" is relative. If you want to know about the housing prices, I would advise you to look through http://www.mls.ca and search there for yourself.

I like living in Canada, but it really does depend on where you live. In a lot of provinces housing is fairly inexpensive but in larger cities it can still be pretty steep. I live in Toronto and my house sold for $2,398,000 two months ago.
