Canada is a great place to live.
Clean, good health care, good school systems, friendly, great economy (especially alberta), wonderful people.

Vancouver is the world's most desirable place to live, according to a new survey, while Papua New Guinea's Port Moresby is at the other end of the scale.

The Canadian city, nestled on the Pacific coast, was one of four locations in that country to rank at the top of the Economist Intelligence Unit's livability survey, which looked at conditions in 127 cities.

The other top-ranking Canadian cities were Toronto, Calgary and Montreal.

Health Care, Education, Security/Defence, Tourism, and besides Canada is a great place to live.

The most three expensive cities are:

1. Vancouver, British Columbia
2. Toronto, Ontario
3. Ottawa, Ontario.

Ottawa is not that expensive, but it is going up since the last 1.5 years now.

Canada is a very good place to live ,
For the work I use to do I went to Victoria ,Vancouver ,New-Brunswick , Sept-Ilse , Renfrew , Ottawa , Brockville , Kirkland (QC) ,Orlean , Nova-Scotia ,
And if I be having to move to a new province I will go to Nova-Scotia Very nice place ,Peoples are very friendly.
Right now I'M living in Hudson QC , Very nice town but in Quebec we still have the problem of language .
I'm french Canadian and my wife is English Canadian and as a french person I be having no problem in any province we went to ,But my wife can't not find work well she will be happy ,( first language french ) Mind you some place in Quebec are very nice like here (Hudson) the population are 50% french 505 English And every one spoke the 2 language.
So you have to look around . Take your time if you can And check around .

Bearbina is correct !
Canada has been rated as best country to love in.
This is cool country and not racial and politics is very much better as compared to US.
I love CANADA because this is country where I will not be shot at due to my skin color and race.
I love CANADA as I feel that I will not be treated as BLACKS are treated in USA.

I am sorry-If i said anything wrong...I am from INDIA and may be wrong in my thinking and perceptions BUT I do not want to hurt anyone !!

Yes, I agree with all the above answers.

Someone once responded when asked to describe a Canadian, said that they are basically the same as Americans, just that they are not armed. But, really, our differences go much deeper than that.

I have lived in Canada my whole life and there is no country to compare. I have traveled practically every other country in the world (except for Australia and the Far East) and I believe that Canada is the best and has the best to offer! Canadians are noted the world over as being very polite, tolerant to others (we embrace different cultures happily), as well as being very cosmopolitan and sophisticated. We have a great public school system, medical care and social services in place. It is true that the wait for medical care, i.e., hip replacement surgery may take longer than in the States, but it is absolutely free and your wait is based on your condition. I had a total knee replacement, 4 days in hospital, waiting period of 6 months and not one penny did I have to pay, even including follow-up physiotherapy and all clinic visits. I also want to add that, compared to other countries that I have visited, it is not an expensive place to live. In Nova Scotia, where I live, housing, food, etc. is not as expensive as places I have visited in the United States where we have many relatives.

Sites below list much more info on why Canada is so great.

I love living in Canada, but then again I've always lived in Canada (Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, & Alberta)... Everyone is going to Alberta right now b/c there is a huge swell in the economy (oil/gas...) there are a ton of jobs here right now... as for expensive, Ontario and BC are, but Alberta has less tax and real estate costs are lower. Hope that helps a little.
