Is greater Toronto similar to the Los Angeles Area? |
There are a ton of tree-lined streets in Los Angeles and Toronto, beeches along the water, two large cities (Toronto-Mississauga, and Los Angeles-Anaheim), and sprawl with a few dense areas.
So is the GTA like the LA metropolitian area?

Pretty much. LA has a large airport as does Toronto. LA has professional sports teams as does Toronto (Basketball, football, baseball, hockey). Both have great theatre, musicals, expressways, traffic, smog and a great mix of cultures. LA has subways as does Toronto, people commute to work in Toronto from 50 miles away same as LA. Toronto has its fashion district, its financial district, China Town, Little Italy etc. |

In some aspects it is, however GTA has a much higher population density as compared to Los Angeles area. Also Greater Los Angeles has mountains, where as Toronto has some hills, but nothing too high. The mountains in LA restrict where one can build, while in Toronto the hills don't really get in the way of building. Also the mass transit in the Toronto area is much better than what you find in Los Angeles. |

no its not at all first off la is just conjested and there is so much more there then toronto even though there is the cn tower. toronto is more like new york. toronto is artsy like ny and there is some nice shopping. |
