This is a very big country and it would help a lot if you would tell us the area you wish to visit for skiing.
If you were planning a Quebec visit I would mention - Mount Tremblant , The Laurentians. If Ontario, the Collingwood area, Alberta and B.C. Whistler, or Banff. These are just a few suggestions. I'm sure anyone living near any of these or other areas would be only to happy to give you up to date information.
I am about 40 miles east of Toronto and last night we got about 5 inches of snow with two more storms on the way, one on Friday the other on Sunday/Monday. It looks good here for the next week but we have no major slopes.

Canada is a VERY large country. Skiing is great right now in some places and awful in some others. Can you provide more specific information on where in Canada you would want to ski?

For instance:

I went last weekend to Blue Mountain in Collingwood.
It was killer.

dont taze me bro
Damn right it is. Most people from Southern Ontario will say not yet. But don't listen to them. They don't know there is other parts of Canada besides their own.

Well you see Canada is a country that spans a continent.

It's not a town.

That would be like asking "is it a good time to go skiing in Asia right now?"

July is better, that's our winter time....and don't forget ur snow tires with the chains on them

Depending where , wait at least a month I'd say though...we don't have much snow yet

Am_I_Bluffin'??
Sure.

Blessed Rain
Canada, Vermont, Utah & Colorado are sure to have wonderful snow this time of year, I know for fact (as I live in UT) that Utah has wonderful fresh powder snow and is getting more tonight.
Hope you enjoy which ever slopes you hit stay safe and follow all the "off path rules" if you don't stick to the maintained slopes.

tommyboi94
yes, but only in snowy places

The Kitten in Clothes
It depends where you go.

In Toronto we had a big snowfall over night and another one due in a few days time apparently, but obviously that is in the city.

Plus maybe it is a good time to go skiing as less people can afford it this year so maybe slopes will be less crowded than normal?
