The Canadian side has by far the best viewing point for the falls.

I've only seen it from the Canadian side and my boyfriend has seen it from both and he said that while both are really nice views, the Canadian view is better.

I have seen the Falls from both sides, and I think the view is better from the Canadian side.

Every reply you receive will be Canada. and they will all be right. OK

If you go to see it from the American side you will not see much other then the Bridal Veil falls UNLESS you go out to Goat Island which will allow you to see the Horseshoe Falls (or "Canadian Falls"). It's not a bad way to see it BUT the view from the Canadian side is generally accepted as being a better view since you can see both falls at once and take it all in.

Canada is better for a view of the falls. You get to see the Falls in their entirety from a distance. On the American side, you are standing between the sets of falls and don't really get a sense of what they look like. On the other hand, you get a MUCH better feeling for the power of the falls on the American side. You can almost touch the water, and it's loud. Plus the hiking is better on the American side.

Not to mention that from the American side, you see the tacky buildings on the Canadian side. From the Canadian side, all you see are falls.
