Hello Luke;

Just like any country, Canada can be quite difficult to move to. There are several classes - family reuniffication; business; skilled labour; etc. There are lots of forms to have to fill in, payments and waiting periods for applications, etc. Have you tried checking out these Canadian government websites?

Citizenship & Immigration Canada
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.html

Service Canada
http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/en/subjects/immigrate/index.shtml

If you do have the money and want to hire someone who can help you get the correct forms and applications you can try an immigration expert:
http://www.immigration.ca/
http://www.migrationexpert.com/canada/

I do know that most of the jobs right now are in British Columbia and Alberta. For Alberta the mining and construction industry are desperately looking for new workers. For British Columbia, it's the construction, tourism, finance, and retail industry.

Good luck!

Ok. I live in Vancouver Canada, so lemme tell you. The hardest part is getting a greencard and passport. Canadians are very welcoming especially to little kids! WE accept you as a person no matter what your beliefs are, diversity not assimilation is a great way to put it!

Danu
no..its more like if you're a rapist, murderer, pedophile etc...then sure come on over..they welcome that here...its so easy to get in

t_blond chick
possibly,but if you have a trade,there is a fast track system in place now.Canadians are often approached to sponsor a person through marriage,bad move,if reported to immigration,makes things things almost impossible afterwards.As for being white/educated/wealthy garbage/just check out places like Vancouver,B.C.,immigration central,multicultural centre galore. Like anywhere,a clean record or a pardon is helpful,I believe one conviction is allowed after ten or so years past,but it's probably dependant on the severity.I would go to the sites for Immigration Canada,for reliable current information.Good luck!:)
