I think it would be great fun to live and work in Whistler. You would meet lots of great people from around the world. It's also got quite the reputation as a party town.

However, I do know that there is very limited housing for staff up there, especially in the winter. Rent is very expensive, and there have been stories on the news about how many people are crammed into tiny apartments, and sleeping on the floor because either they can't afford to live anywhere else, or there is no where else available.

At the same time, depending on where you get a job, you may have housing provided for you.

Good luck and have fun! I go to Whistler all the time and I love it! I even got married there! just got back from a weekend in Whistler and had a fantastic time.

Any job you can get will do. But your main problem isn't going to be getting a job, it's going to be finding housing. When you are doing your interviews at the job fair, ask if they have employee housing or subsidized housing. You might have to share an apartment with half a dozen other employees, but that's okay. It's just for the winter. Housing is really tight, and really expensive, so make sure you find out about it.
Hope you have a great season!

Go for it and you will have the time of your life. Even if you have to bunk with a bunch of strangers or live in a basic dorm style room you will have the experience with you for the rest of your life. Go with a great attitude and you will have a fabulous experience. Work is work so try to find a job that you will enjoy doing if possible depending on your personality. Good luck and enjoy.

I imagine it is fun, tho I wouldn't know.
It is beautiful there.
Do keep in mind that lodging in whistler is sky high, most people who work there in service-oriented jobs live in squamish. Perhaps you can room with some friends or other working where you do, assuming you get a job.

Good Luck!!
Have fun!!

Only if you party every night and do drunken skiing and occasionally go to work

Try skier, or snowboarder. These "jobs" are the ones you are really going there for.
