I need to know if I would be charged long distance rates to call from the 905 area (Oakville, for example) to the is the 416 area (Toronto), or is the entire Greater Toronto Area considered a 'local' calling area? |

It is NOT long distance from Oakville... It IS from other parts of the 905 (ex Newmarket, Port Perry).
It is also long distance from 905 on one side of Toronto (Ajax) to 905 on the other side (Oakville) |
