Yes, it is. As long as you feel safe walking on the streets to and from the TTC (which should still be safe, especially if it's summer and already light out) then you shouldn't have a problem.
There are plenty of safety features on the TTC. Their website lists them all.
One thing that you should know, though, is that some TTC routes (including the subway) don't open until 9 AM on Sundays. You should check their website and plan out your route based on the weekend schedules. |

Yeah, by that time, all the drunks are home, sleeping.
Seriously, I've travelled all over the world, and being street smart and aware of what is going on around you is your best defence. The TTC is safe and at that time of the morning, you will have lots of empty seats to choose from on the bus, or the train.

This should be no problem at all...Torontonians do sleep after Saturday night partying. |

It's not only safe, it's virtually deserted at that hour. You'll have your pick of the seats. And if you feel threatened, try sitting in the front car near the driver, or in the second last car near the motorman (or whatever his title is). |

on the weekends thats about the safest time specially sundays. its pretty much empty so its safe. just keep aware of your personal belongings. |
