No, there is no limit of time to move and/or learn other languages. And 18 is not old, it's young. It's easier to move at 18 with fery few things that keep you home than at 28, 38, 48 years old when you have a steady job with retirement plans, an house with a wife and childrens.

Quebec*, and no, it's never too late!

You should start on classes now though, before you move there. An English-French dictionary would be great too.

it is not late, start learning, good luck

no...go ahead, take the challenge! 18 is a time when the brain is still developing so it is a prime time to start learning...
i think you should go ahead and try it, you've got nothing to lose!!!
Good Luck! BON CHANCE!

iguana: the brain has completed developing by around age 12. There is still some neural plasticity afterwards but nothing too great overall.
