There is no home delivery on Saturdays but mail (parcels/registered mail etc) can be picked up at some postal outlets which are open on Saturdays.

No mail delivery on Saturday. I don't know how you'd tell if what you're sending falls in this category, but with things like parcels and registered letter, if the postie can't deliver it on the day it arrives to the address, he/she will card it, which means a card will be left saying the item is at the post office for pick-up and most post offices are open Saturday morning.

In Canada, Saturday is the holy day of the beaver. All government employees are given the day off in commemoration of the great maple syrup drought of 1814 caused by louie riel.
