Medication (prescriptions) is NOT free, unless you are on some kind of provincial plan or have insurance which covers your prescriptions.
Electricity is most certainly not free... |

if your in hospital under care... meds are provided free. Once you leave the hospital you must pay for meds unless you have a extended health plan like Blue Cross that reimburses you or you are on the welfare.
That said, most provinces have a maximum amount (about $2500/year) you have to pay for meds after which the med costs are subsidized.
Electricity... its not free unfortunately but pretty cheap here in BC anyways. Average house like mine cost about $150 every two months for electric and another $150 every two months for natural gas but that goes up in winter when furnace kicks on. |

no, medication is not free, unless if you have some sort of plan or if your work provide's benifits (my mom's work pays for 95% of the price of our medication).
and no we don't see the doctor for free. yes, the government pays for us, but we pay for that through our taxes.
and electricity is only free if you go stick a solar panel on your roof or a wind turbine in your front lawn...i'm actually thinking of getting a solar panel... |
