This is a huge misconception in Canada, many people are getting busted as we speak because they think it has been decriminalized. The previous government brought forward a bill that would decriminalize anything under 28 grams of marijuana. When the old government died so did the new law and has not been put forward since. It will happen someday i'm pretty sure but for now best not take any chances. Canada is however known as a safe place to do it. I figure keeping a couple grams on you is safe.
Get this, it is actually legal to smoke marijuana in Canada but illegal to posses it. Sheesh

It is legal actually....for all who dont think it is. BUT it is under a certain amount. (you can only have like 1 or 2 ounces or less on you at a time..i dont know the exact amount though)
