Yes, tap water is quite safe in most of Canada, and certainly in all large cities and towns. Some smaller towns in more rural areas have "boil orders" from time to time. There have been a few serious issues with tap water in Canada in recent years, and communities now tend to be very careful to make sure that the water is tested often.
And yes, there are change tables in most public restrooms in Ottawa. |

lol there are little fold down baby change tables in the washrooms, some places have a nursing room (if thats what a parent room is) and the water depends on where you are
ps. canada is huge the water comes from all different spots and im sure ottawa has more than one public washroom... though they might not be the cleanest considering its a public washroom (take whipes or somthing if you care about that)
Also.. refering to your question about what to do.. in the winter there is a winter carnival called winter lude its got slides carved into the snow and sculptures.. kids love it. |

In most places, such as major towns and villages and cities, tap water is safe for drinking. It would be unsafe in very rural and/or isolated communities.
In most public washrooms, anywhere in the country, there are baby-changing stations in both men's and women's washrooms. |

Tap water is safe but if you're not from here and you have a weak immune system, you should probably not drink it. Your body gets used to germs that you are often exposed to, so in a new environment you are always at a greater risk. |
