Well, as everyone knows, the water in Canada is of poor quality. Nobody want our water. We Canadians were thinking of piping in water from Florida to help us out.
By the way, it's Montreal, Quebec not Montreal, Canada. Oddly enough, we tend to use the province after the city. |

Well when you start to drink good clean water here different from the sewerage you normally drink in Florida, your body is going to react different for awhile, it has never had something so good. Don't you hear, you Americans are buying our water because we have so much and it's so clean. |

I've never heard of any problems with the quality of the city water. They pump it from the St. Lawrence River and then run it through an intensive filtration process. |

Yes, it is safe to drink. But many travellers find that water they are unaccustomed to makes them feel ill. It will take you a few days to get used to it.
For that reason, people with dogs always take a supply of their own water with them. A trip in a car with a dog suffering diarhhea is no fun! Ask me how I know! |

Yes, the water is very safe. Actually Canada, the U.S and Austraila are really the only places where its safe to eat or drink what you please. Unlike places like Brazil, Africa, Mexico, or India.
Maybe it was the food you ate? Is it something you wouldn't normally eat? Sometimes when the body isn't used to a particular food, like super spicy foods for example, it doesn't react well. I've even heard stories about vegetarians who go for so long without meat their body gets used to it and when they finally do eat something with meat they get sick.
Also, a very common thing is travel sickness. Traveling long distances can throw off your body causing you to feel nausous or like you may have diareah. My father and mother traveled down to North Carolina and my mom ended up getting "travel sick".
Hope you feel better! |

yes, the water is safe to drink . if you are in the old appartmens that have old pipes it might not be as safe but if you got it from a restaurant then its probably not the water. it might be some other food. |

Most tap water is safe to drink. Just spit it out if it taste different. That's probably due to rust or growing of algae because of not changing the filters for a long time. |

The water is safe to drink. However you're probably used to different water from florida and the change could have made you sick. |
