Is there a Canadian Food?

Is there a "Canadian Food?" I don't mean back bacon... and not regionalized ethnic (French in Montreal as an example). Just a nationally recognized Canadian Food.

Not back bacon, not regionalized, and not ethnic - you ask tough questions!
Bread
Potatoes
Beef
Fish - as long as you don't narrow it down to a species.
Coffee - our all day drink
Canadian beer - our all evening drink

Easterners may think that maple is nation-wide but it is mostly eastern. Poutine is mostly Quebecois - good but ethnic and/or regional.

Eme
Yeah, it looks disgustingly delicious.. =P
It is called 'Poutine'. It is soft fries with cheese curds and brown gravy.
There are some very frightening pictures of it on Wikipedia.. lol.

Live.For Love United
maple syrup

though that's not exactly a food, it's a topping and it's awesome!

Catherine :[
there's french canadian food (tourtiere, tire sur la neige, ragout de pattes, pet de soeur, tarte au sucre, sucre à la crème, soupe aux pois, oreilles de crisses, and the famous poutine.. ETC..)

but sorry i dont know any English canadian food !!!

Mac n' Cheese is the national favourite, otherwise it's very simular to the United States: burgers, fries, sandwitches, hot dogs, bbq, etc... although Canuks have a history with maple and sometimes put gravy on their fries (across Canada)

most of it is influenced by england and france
but i know they use a lot of maple and fish

Ramesh
I dont think they really have a Canadian food. Their back ground is so Fench there food is mostly french, but they eat a lot like Americans now I think. Thear location has made them have many different influences.
