I have an Irish college degree in Accounting. But not many jobs in Ireland. Is there a lot jobs in Canada like office jobs etc? What would be a good site to look at. I would not move to a place unless a job was lined up. I worked with Canadians before and you seem very nice and funny. Would you have a problem with the Irish. I hope not.

It depends where you go. probably Alberta is your best bet. Ive seen some accounting openings in my area...by edmonton.and that was just by glance. No we don't have any problems with irish at all. you will be welcomed with open arms. There are many Irish people in Edmonton and no one has any problems with them as far as i know. A for a job try these to sites..

I'm in New Brunswick, Canada, and there are quite a lot of jobs available right now. Moncton , New brunswick, is a growing diverse city, with lots of Irish people here. Go to www.gc.ca and search the jobs for Moncton. It is also cheep to rent, or buy a home here. |

That all depends on the province. Canada is just as diverse as the USA. Certain provinces (like Alberta) are doing very well right now, while others (like Ontario) are suffering. You really need to do some in-depth research by province/territory to get the answers you need. As for 'problems with the Irish', certainly not. Canada has immigrants from all over the world flocking here in droves. I doubt anyone would even notice you were from overseas, lol. |

There are lots of jobs in Canada, especially for people with skills and training. You can google up Globe and Mail (it's a newspaper) and check out the classified ads for jobs, and for housing. Housing is expensive in the Toronto area, and in the Vancouver area, but very reasonable in Alberta, Sask. and Manitoba.
We've spent time in Ireland, and loved the Irish. You'd be more than welcome here. |

There are plenty of low paid, part time jobs.
If you have experience you can apply for permanent residence status in Canada. First you apply for the paperwork, then you can job hunt, once you have a visa.
You would need an accountancy professional qualification to start to work in Canada and then you would have to study for Canadian accountancy exams.
