Why wouldn't there be? Do you think we all drive dog sleds, or that none of us can afford cars. We are not that different form you in the US.

NONAME
No, the car thefts are great!

every1lovesamixedgirl
I saw a show on the CBC and they certainly made it look like there is a huge car theft problem in Canada.

Huge problem in Montreal

I don't know about the rest of Canada, but I live in Edmonton, and I know it is a fairy big problem... I don't remember the exact statistics, sorry, but I remember it being in the news a few months ago.
I also remember seeing that the police (in BC, I think it was) set up some of those sting cars with cameras in them to help catch car thieves.

Smudgeward
No people there thoroughly enjoy having their cars stolen??

Tact is highly overrated
Did you ever watch Bowling for Columbine? In it, Michael Moore goes to canada and finds that the people there are much less afraid of intruders/theft. In fact, many of them leave their doors unlocked. He did this to prove a point that not only are American's more concerned about intruders, they are also more likely to have fire arms in their homes. Anyway, to answer your question, I don't know for sure but I would be willing to be that Canadians don't have nearly the same numbers of car thefts than in America.

Who do you think we are?

We are just as good as the United States!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: There are not as much car thefts in Canada as there are in the United States "Land of the Freeks!".

PS2: I am from Montreal, Canada!
