the dollar is about even still with the US dollar, depending on where in Canada you are going, like someone said places closer to the border will take US funds in stores and will give Canadian change, with the exchange rate if there is any at that point. You can change your funds to Canadian before you leave or there are places in most malls that will exchange US funds. I know there is one right beside my bank that handles world currencies. |

The Us and Canadian Dollar are about the same, you can trade monies at Thomas Cook or at the Border at the Kiosks, either way yiu will pay a Fee, try your local bank, you will probably pay a lower fee. Enjoy your trip! |

As the others have said, banks, exchange kiosks at the airport or at the shops. Expect to pay at least a 10% priemum on the exchange at the shops and to have some refuse to take American because they have to pay a priemum at their bank.

Go to your U.S Bank before you come to Canada.
I'm not sure if a bank in Canada will exchange it without actually having an account there.
Go to: http://money.cnn.com/data/currencies/ to find the value on the day you want to exchange. |
