There used to be a couple smoking rooms for patrons in a couple of the bar/food buisnesses in the airport terminals. Are they still there? |

I work at the Pearson airport and unfortunately.. no more smoking rooms.. You have to go outside the building now |

Up until this summer, there was one lounge in arrivals terminal 3 that had smoking. Banned now. You have to make the trip outside, which isn't all that long a walk from any terminal or gate. |

I just came back from Canada to Germany again and I had a 5 Hour stop at the Pearson Airport and no you can`t smoke anywhere,you have to go outside.And outside it looks very very dirty because all the people through there smokes just on the ground so I don`t understand why they wont make a smoking room for the smokers.That isn`t very nice for the International visitors who come to visit Canada and they see that dirt outside of the Airports.By the way....I love Canada I just don`t think it`s nice what they do with the smokers.People pay enough Tax for the smoking so the Goverment should give them a room to smoke. |

BC work places are smoke free too, but there is still a smoking room at the vancouver airport. I'm sure there is one in Toronto too, just ask an airport employee. |

I would hope so. Smokers are just about the last group in America that it's still perfectly acceptable to descriminate against. I hope things are different in Canada. |

Ontario workplaces are smoke-free, so probably not. |

Ontario went "Smoke-Free" as of July 1 st 2006 all enclosed areas and public buildings are smoke free and you will incurr a $5000 fine if you voilate the ordinances, the only area around the airport you are allowed to smoke is outside 9 meters from the entrances. This is a province wide law.
Unlike the US were the rules are random and not followed, here in Canada the non-smokers are in the majority and do unfortunely make it known if there are any violations. |
