You don't 'immigrate' between provinces, you just move there. There are no restrictions in that sense.
As someone else pointed out, you do need to get a new driver's licence and health card, as well as registering your vehicle in the new province of residence.
You do not have to get a new birth certificate as someone else said, as your province of birth issues that, not your province of residence. My husband was born and raised in Alberta. He has lived in Manitoba since the mid-80s. He recently had to get a new birth certificate issued, as he lost his original...he had to apply to Alberta to get one, as he was born there.
People move province to province here all the time. I'm from Winnipeg (Manitoba) and a lot of my old high school classmates are living in Calgary, Alberta. My Manitoba born aunts live elsewhere also - one lives in Mississauga, Ontario, and the other in Victoria, BC with her American born husband...those two lived in Port Credit, Ontario prior to moving to Victoria, and were Winnipeg residents for a few decades prior to that.
Each province and territory (10 provinces, 3 territories) has its own flag, but they do not supercede the Canadian flag. |
