It amazes me how nobody has a clue what they are talking about, yet they answer peoples questions!

The truth is that it all depends on where you go in Canada.

If you go to the West Coast to Vancouver it is pretty nice at that time of year it rarely goes below zero Celsius! It hardly ever snows there at all! But you can still go skiing on the mountains.

I live in Toronto. We rarely have snow until the end of December, an even then it is not extremely cold here. Sure it can hit minus 20 on the odd occasion in January/February but generally it will loom around 5 degrees during November and December.
AND, Yes! There are a ton of things you can do here! We are always open ! Theater, restaurants, site seeing, concerts! Everything!

e-mail me if you want some suggestions!

The further north you go the colder it is.... tell us where you are interested in visiting.

There are a lot of ignorant people on this page. You've not said where you come from and what sort of weather you're used to. The snow and frost are beautiful and there are fun winter activities to enjoy. Different parts of the country experience different temperatures and snowfall. Dress suitably and you could have a great time.

Any time of year is great to vacation in Canada, depending on what it is you want to do here?? Ski and snowboard?? May not be cold enough and most likely not enough snow for good conditions until January/Feb.
Party and shopping? Hit Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa or out east in Halifax any time. Don't make the mistake of listening to others who will scare you with generalized weather forecasts. All depends on what you like to do on vacation. You can snonwboard all day then swim outside in natural hotsprings at night. Get it?

Yes. There are many wonderful places to visit during November and December. But it depends largely on what you want to do. If you're looking for winter sports, Whistler Mountain (site of the 2010 winter olympics) will be open and running, as will many other ski hills. If you want something a little warmer, Vancouver or Victoria almost never have snow. You'll find joggers, runners and golfers still going full blast in November and December. If you're in either place in December, there are special 'carol ship' cruises -- these are mini cruises, which play Christmas carols and cruise around the city so you can see all the lights, and imbibe some Christmas spirit, both literally and figuratively.
Check in at HelloBC.com for more information on what to do in BC, and enjoy!

I think it would be great - just be dressed for the occasion.

You'll have access to some great winter activities and have a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights - fantastic!!

Just be prepared 'eh!

It depends on where. If you are planning Jasper for ski-ing check for snow reports. If it is to Victoria that is a very nice time of the year.
If you intend camping or hiking try to avoid hunting season. Canada is a big place. Get in touch with Tourism Canada for more details. November is too late for fall colour tours in most of the country.

Oct-Nov-Dec have got to be the most beautiful months here. I live in Newfoundland now and used to live in Ontario......Winter doesn't ususally get here and get serious until after the new year(you can thank global warming for that)

Between novemeber and Decemeber I think it would be a bad idea just because it will be colder then all crap so unless you like freezing weather then I would hold off!
