The highest temperature ever reached in a summer of Toronto is 41 °C (105 °F) recorded on 3 consecutive days from July 7-July 9, 1936. The coldest winter was -33 °C (-25 °F) was recorded on January in the 50's.

But Toronto gets as hot as 45 degrees Celsius when you factor in humidity in summer.

Yes it does get hot in June, July, August and if your lucky September and October can be warm too.
This summer was a wet one but we did see some very warm days the year before, it got up to about 40 degrees Celsius (in Toronto) including humidity. That is about 60-90 F so it does get hot.
For the winter my dog sled is always parked out back eh (just kidding we have cars here too).

Ever been to NY State? Weather is pretty well the same. Except in the winter...NY gets hit harder in winter.
