Toronto is no cheaper than L.A or New York...follow your dream and see where it takes you. In Toronto ..it's like any other city...you can rent a respectable apartment for a reasonable amount, or you can rent a scuzzy basement apartment for next to nothing. All depends how much cash you currently have plus how much you intend to make. Good Luck!!! Go apply for work at Much Music!! That sounds like a blast!!!

I live in Toronto and love it. It is expensive and busy like you said, but there are areas of the city that aren't as much. If you'd like a slightly quieter area and don't mind a commute I suggest North York or Etobicote. The best thing to do is come and visit for a couple weeks or a couple months, whatever you can work out. check it out and see if you like it! it doesn't hurt to try.

If you don't mind the cold, Toronto is awesome.

i love living here... moved out here 1 year ago.

good luck getting the job as a VJ i can only image the number of people that try to get that job.. but whatever..... theres a ton of tv places, cbc, city, ctv, mtv, much, bravo, slice etc in toronto

No, yes, and no. Toronto is Canada's cesspool. But since you want to be a VJ at Much, you should fit well here.

Toronto is expensive an busy, but generally those moving there are seeking that sort of thing. Much Music sucks, go to Vancouver and become a VJ at MTV instead.
